Trenton D Meeks

Trenton D Meeks

Trenton David Meeks born on February 21, 1991 to Phillip and Julia Meeks, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the age of 32. Trent was the 4th of 4 children, and the largest of them all. God knew that he would need size to defend himself from older sibling throughout his life! Trent came with the spirit of a Golden Retriever, boundaries were stressful, and he craved the freedom to roam! His crib could only confine him for around 6 months before he learned to escape, he walked at 8 months, and we have been trying to catch and corral this boy ever since.

Trent came with a heart of gold. He was kind, compassionate, caring and giving. He yearned for approval and acceptance from all. He loved to learn and was a whiz with trivia and obscure facts. Trent loved music, especially songs that spoke to his heart. He loved learning new things and spent countless hours talking with his dad about all kinds of things. He loved cars and figuring out how to make things work and has been his parents right hand YouTube man for the past few years. Trent was always there to help when a task needed done, even the things everyone else hated, like Mom’s Christmas decorations… up and down! Trent was an artist, when he lived at home, his bedroom walls were often filled with murals, beginning at age 2 with stick figures and progressing with age to beautiful masterpieces. He had a love for history and had recently developed an interest in genealogy.

Trent was never embarrassed to be a “Momma’s Boy”, even when she introduced him as her infant son. And she loved him for that, always answer to his calls of ‘Momma Bear’.  His path wasn’t easy, often by his own choices, but his heart was always good and kind. Addiction is a tough cross to bear, both for individuals and families. Trent has taught us all through his life what is means to be compassionate, understanding and caring. He has taught us to love before judging, to serve before shaming, and to rely on the Savior each day to help us as we all do our best to maneuver through an imperfect world.

We love you Trent. We miss you desperately and will continue to miss you until we are together again, but we are grateful that you have this time to rest and heal. We are grateful that you are free from the addictions that have kept you bound for so long. Until we meet again our precious, precious boy!

Trent was truly and amazing person. I’m so very glad I got to know him as well as I did. I only wish I had been around more in the end. I will never forget cruising around Utah county with you in your Impala. You were always the best DJ and had the best sound system around. Some of my best memories from collage were hanging out with you, long boarding that canyon. Rest in Peace Trent, I will never forget you and the memories we have.

Trent was our best friend, for many years.. He was an amazing “uncle” to our 3 kids, and will be terribly missed by us all until we meet him again.. He will forever be in our hearts.. We smile at our memories and his infectious laugh, we smile at our silly bets and competitions, we smile thinking of his warm hugs, and cry because we can’t believe he’s gone.

I’m going to miss you Trent
    The “other tree”
I will never forget trying to explain to you that you couldn’t protect engines the same way you protected plants from frost in the winter. 😂 But you’re sweet soul just thought it would work the same. That poor, poor E30.
I’m going to miss our shenanigans, late nights with you drawing sharpie on my back, creating some of the most intricate line work and geometric patterns i’d ever seen.
Thank you for being such a huge chapter in my life. There really aren’t words that make saying goodbye easier. I just Hope you knew how loved you always were, before you left.
