Ruth Hendricks

Ruth Hendricks passed away suddenly on October 22nd 2020 at the age of 59 at her home.

She was born in Salt Lake City to Lynn Claytor Hendricks and Lenora Billings Hendricks.  She is survived by her daughter Clarissa Ruth Hendricks and her siblings Shonnie Bates, Scott (Joyce) Hendricks, David (Lorelle) Hendricks, Craig (Georgia) Hendricks, Doug (SeMyoung) Hendricks, Reed (Roulene) Hendricks, and her many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth spent the majority of her career working in human resources at the Utah Transit Authority.  At the time of her death, she was teaching English to students in China.  As a young woman, she served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hawaii.  She devoted much of her life to the raising of her daughter Clarissa, whom she adopted as baby.

Ruth loved crocheting, knitting and anything crafty.  Over the course of her life, she developed many long-lasting relationships, and enjoyed spending time with these treasured friends and family.

Private family funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, at 11 AM in the Meadowland LDS Ward Chapel, 6695 So. 2200 W., West Jordan, Utah 84084. Burial will follow at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
