RUSSELL W. BALDWIN

1958-2021

Russell “Russ, Rusty” Baldwin, age 63, of West Jordan, Utah, passed on Sunday, September 26, 2021, following a brief illness.

He is survived by his son, Austin (Kaitlyn) Baldwin of Snellville, Georgia, whom he shared with former spouse, Debra Baldwin, his grandchildren, Jazmine (Chris) Manhard and Ronnie Maxwell, Jr., his mother, Fern Beck Long of West Jordan, father, Roger (Susan) Baldwin of Sandy, siblings, Rebecca Tsouras, Connie Clauson, and Robert Long, all of West Jordan, and Monty Snow (Bonnie) of Tooele, plus a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He leaves his beloved dog and driving companion, Bart.

Russell was preceded in death by his infant daughter, April Jennifer Baldwin, and adult son, Nicholas Carl Baldwin, both from his marriage to Debra (Wenndt) Baldwin, and adult son, Ronnie Maxwell from his marriage to Tracy Maxwell, and step-father, Vaughn Long. 

Russell was born in 1958 to Fern Beck and Roger Baldwin in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was reared in the Chesterfield community of West Valley City. He attended Granite High School in Salt Lake City.  Russell most recently worked as an over-the-road driver for Prime Transportation.  Russell never met a stranger, he talked to everyone.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2 pm at the LDS Chapel, 7645 South 3200 West, West Jordan, Utah 84084.  Visitation will be held beginning at 1 pm, one hour prior to the service in the Relief Society room of the South Building. Graveside service and interment will follow at 3 pm at Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.

    Mr. And Mrs. Austin Baldwin. ( Austin and Kaitlyn) We just want you to know you are in our Hearts and Prayers! So Sorry for Your Loss. I know how much you loved your Dad. Remember the Good times and all the Memories. Just think he and Nick have met at those Big Ole Golden Gates and I’m sure they are Protecting and Loving from above. And probably telling stories about you. Lol. Again Love You Big Man!

    Fern, Becky & Connie& families, We are so sorry to hear about Rusty . Our love and deepest sympathy to you all. We are so sorry for your loss! I was a neighbor to the Baldwin’s growing up in Chesterfield. Sure wish we could all go live those days again as we had the best times with you all! Becky please give your mom a hug for me and tell her I’m so sorry about rusty. Becky I know we had a little fall out awhile back but I still consider you my friend and family and I love you too! LuAnn gave me your message. Thank you! I hope you all find love peace and Comfort at this heartfelt time ! Rusty is flying with the angels and gets to see some of his other babies but we know he will miss everyone he left behind! He got in some trouble at times but we all know he really meant no harm!     Memories flooding in.
    Back to where i first met Rusty.
    We lived in malvern Avenue.
    My brother Monty and rusty became the best of friends. They were like brothers.
    Nothing but good memories.
    I remember we were the same age.
    But i didn’t want anything to do with boys. Lol.
    RIP my friend. Untill we meet again.

    Rusty – I love you brother and will miss you. We had many great outings together and I always enjoyed your company. You were a kind hearted soul and will be missed by many.

    Rusty you will be missed we were great friends when we were younger roller skating about as much as we possibly could hanging out at desert gym great memories you’ll be missed.
