Rush Kee

1929 – 2023

          Rush grew up on a farm in Texas.  Rush gave his heart to the Lord as a young teen.  From an early age, he had a love for the violin.  In his late teens and early twenties, Rush played for several Texas western swing bands, notably, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

POEM

What must it be to step on Shore

And find it – Heaven;

To take hold of a Hand,

And find it – God’s Hand;

To breathe new air and find it –

Celestial air;

To feel invigorated, and find it – ;

Immortality

To rise from the care and turmoil

Of earth in to one unbroken calm;

To wake up and find it –

Glory!

Services will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 2 PM at the

Grantsville First Baptist Church, 235 W Main. Visitation will be held

at 1 hour prior.

    Rush, such a kind man. I have many memories. The biggest is all the talent he had playing musical instruments. You made a real impact on many lives. You are cherished.

    I always was blessed by Rush sharing his incredible fiddle skills and music with Eve, He blessed many sharing his gifts and sharing God’s word in message. He touched many with his love for Jesus. Thank you for all you did to bless others in the name of Jesus! Rob Lee Utah-Idaho SBC

    Dennis – As a classmate and football teammate of yours at Grantsville High in the 1960s, I am saddened at the passing of your father. Although I did not know him, he must have been a good man and father to have raised a son like you. God Bless. 🙏
