Melana “Loni” Marie Pierce

Melana “Loni” Marie Pierce, age 51 finally let go of this earthly fight after many years of being ill and bed ridden. She passed away peacefully in her sleep November 27, 2022, in Tooele Utah at Rocky Mountain – Willow Springs Care Facility. She was born on January 27, 1971, in Murray, Utah to Sherry Eilene (Caldwell) and Donald Jerry Pierce. She graduated high school at Tooele High School in 1989. She went on from graduation to raising her two children, working at American Express as Customer Service Representative in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She absolutely adored kittens and puppies and babies. But her greatest joy were her children and grandchildren, she loved to video call and just watch them.

Melana was the sweetest, kindest, most loving and forgiving person we ever knew. Even when life dealt her a crappy hand, she stayed positive. She smiled and made you believe everything was going to be alright. Even when she was lying in bed, her body all twisted in pain. She would aways tell us she was going to get better so she could go home. She finally went home, Sunday November 27, 2022, heaven gained another Angel, and she got her wings, she is no longer in pain or suffering. She will be able to join us this year as we celebrate the holidays and remember all the fun times we had. Fly sweet spirit Fly until we meet again, we love you so much.

We will be planning a celebration of life July 8, 2023 at the Dow James Building in Tooele, Utah when Justin’s family are home for summer vacation. Loni spent the last years of her life on full disability bed ridden, no insurance or extra money to speak of, if you would like to contribute to help her parents with her final expenses and celebration of life, Missy has setup a GoFundMe https://gofund.me/13847635 , or contact any of her siblings or parents to contribute. Thank you in advance for any contribution every penny makes a difference. We will make public the details once they are confirmed for all of those who would like to come and share their memories of “Loni”.

She was greeted in heaven by high school sweetheart Douglas Todd Smith, granddaughter Nathaira Rayne McKee, grandparents Robert & Inez Caldwell, Uncles Allen and Val Caldwell, Aunts Dottie & Carol, and beloved fur babies Tinkerbell, Cinnamon, and Jody. Rest in peace sweet girl, until we meet again, we love you!
