Elaine Hansen Hale

August 31, 1933 – April 16, 2020

Elaine Hansen Hale was born Aug. 31, 1933 in Morgan, UT to Lionel and Vadna Hansen.

Her parents later moved to Tooele where she spent her childhood and graduated from Tooele High School. She was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple to her eternal sweetheart Fred Hale, on June 29, 1950. She was employed at Tooele Army Depot for many years as a secretary and following that she kept the books for the family business. Elaine was a fierce competitor and loved to bowl. Together she and Dad bowled on a league and later she was on a ladies league with several of her friends. Most recently she became a champion at Bingo and Skip Bo while at Diamond Jane’s. She was an excellent cook and loved having family dinners. Our annual Christmas dinner was a highlight our family looked forward to each year. Crocheting was a hobby she enjoyed and each one of her seven grandchildren have an Afghan she made for them. Elaine loved music. Saturday morning’s our home was filled with the sound of mom’s angelic voice singing as she cleaned and cooked. Elaine was as sweet and patient as they come. Her tender loving touch had the ability to calm the craziness in life. She was always happy and positive even during the most difficult times. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her callings included Sunday school teacher, Primary chorister, Relief Society President and visiting teacher. Her most beloved calling was that of a wife, mother and grandmother. Our lives have been molded and shaped by her gentle and kind disposition. We are so thankful to our Father in Heaven for sending us to her. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Lavon and Dale Hansen, and her grandson Shamas Hale. Her survivors include her sister Sandra McCluskey, sons Craig (Sherrie), Kenneth (Jennie), her seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Michelle and her staff at Diamond Jane’s for their tender loving care. Private family graveside services will be held in the Grantsville City Cemetery in the care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home. 435-884-3031 Online condolences and memories may be shared at daltonhoopes.com
