Bonnie Rae Dishong, our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend passed away at the age of 68 from the COVID-19 virus on July 9th, 2021. She was surrounded by her family as she went home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.
Bonnie was the oldest of nine born to her parents Bonnie and Glen. She graduated from Kailua High School in Hawaii then went to Brigham Young University – Hawaii. She served an LDS mission in New England. When younger, Bonnie loved to surf, ski, and be in nature.
She married Michael Louis Dishong on June 16, 1984, and had 3 children. She was sealed to him in the Jordan River Temple in 2005.
She was an avid quilter with a gift to be on point. She always had more quilting projects than she could finish in one human lifetime. She served a one-year Service Mission at the Latter Day Saint Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake City where she quilted blankets that were sent to various countries in need of aid.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Michael; children Jessica (Andrew), Jason (Audrey), and Emily (Taylor); 2 granddaughters who sweetly called her Grandma Woof-Woof (because she was the grandmother with a dog); 3 step-grandchildren who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her siblings Jeneanne, Ruth, Marilynn, George, Annette, Bruce and Marie.
She is preceded in death by her father, Glen, her brother, Steven, and her mother, Bonnie.
