Talon Nicholas Shoell

Talon Nicholas Shoell, aka Uncle, aka Big Tasty, ended his life on Friday July 29th 2022, at the age of 20. Talon was born in Orem Utah on March 5th, 2002, to Nick Shoell and Rebecca Mower.

Talon is survived by his parents Rebecca Mower, Nick and Jenny Shoell, brothers: Broxton (Kyrstin) and Trenton Shoell, sisters Kendra and Shayla (Nick) Shoell, girlfriend Ali Mecham, grandparents Paul and Faye Mower, Myrna Robertson, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and loved ones too numerous to count. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Larry Robertson.

Talon grew up in Grantsville Ut and graduated from Grantsville High in 2020 where he played footballfreshman and sophomore year. He loved to attend all games with his friends and cheer on our Cowboys. People went to games just to watch Talon go crazy in the student section.

Talon always loved to work, and he had an unmatched work ethic. He was employed at Black Foot Heating and Air where he worked for Travis and his Foreman Ron as an HVAC technician for almost 2 years. Prior to HVAC, he worked for Pro Image Concrete and still speaks highly of his boss and coworkers, he even recently admitted to missing concrete work. He caught on quickly and could do almost anything. He was always working even in his free time.

Talon got along with everyone. He could talk to a stranger for hours. He loved making others feel welcomed and loved, he had a special way of making connections with people. Talon had an old soul. He often said he was born 30 years too late because many of his best friends were 40 years old. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He always took care of everyone else’s needs above his, and he carried their worries as his own. Talon’s absolute favorite thing to do was shoot guns. If he ever had down time, you could find him in the mountains shooting his guns.

We love you Talon, fly high Big tasty.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 5th 2022 at 11am at 81 N. Church St., Grantsville Ut. Everyone is welcome.

I remember Talon from elementary school. He was a handsome young man with the most beautiful blue eyes and a mind that was full of questions. He had such curiosity about everything around him and he just wanted to know the answers. He had such a big heart and was always befriending children who were often left out. My prayers and condolences I share with his parents, and his grandparents. He truly was loved by all and will be missed. He is and always will be a favorite of mine!❤️

I’m saddened by the loss of such an amazing young man. Talon worked for me doing concrete for a little over a year and his work ethic and ability to learn so quickly were amazing. He always had a pleasant and happy demeanor about him and a smile that could light up the room. My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. You will be missed dearly my friend.

Hi Danny. I’m Talon’s mom. I am so glad you commented here, I didn’t know how to contact you and Id love to meet you. Talon spoke highly of you. He loved that concrete job. Long days and long boys and he was still always smiling and only complained that his body was worn out. I still think he’s crazy that he missed the work!

    Becky,
I am so very , very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to your family and all your son’s friends. Such a loss, I know, leaves a huge hole in your heart that can never be healed. It’s a pain you wish no one would ever experience. I pray that your son Talon is at peace and free of his pain. I pray you will find some comfort in your fond memories of him. “Sometimes, crying is the only way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is.” —Unknown
