Wesley “Bud” Chaudoin

Wesley (Bud) Chaudoin, Age 87 passed away on April 30, 2024, at home.  Wesley was born on October 11, 1936, to Otis and Marie Chaudoin in Bloomington Illinois.  While he was growing up, he moved with his parents several times chasing employment.  They finally settled in Tooele Utah.  Bud married Betty Fawson on April 17, 1959, and later solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple.  Bud served in the Army early in their marriage in Virginia, but Bud & Betty decided to plant their roots in Grantsville to raise their growing family.

Bud retired from Dugway Proving Ground as a Procurement Specialist.   He was a mechanic at Lawrence Texaco for many years, a volunteer fireman, served as Fire Chief and was one of the first EMT’s for the Grantsville Ambulance Service.  After his retirement, he worked for Adobe Rock as a truck driver/mechanic.  His greatest joy was striking up a conversation with any willing or unwilling participant. 

 He is survived by his loving wife; Betty, children: Robert (Heather), Don (Judie), Bill (Kim), Val, Michelle (David).  13 grandkids, 10 great-grandkids, 3 great-great-grandkids.

Preceded in death by his parents Otis & Marie, his sister Charlotte Griffin, daughter Teri Lyn Allred.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11 AM in the Grantsville 10th Ward Chapel, 81 N Church St., Grantsville, Utah 84029. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services at the Church. Burial will follow in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
