1970 – 2023
The summer solstice started on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 marking the astronomical first day of Summer. Susie Ann Lopez (Suz), 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Bountiful after ending her battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her children, grandbabies and embracing the voices of love she could hear.
Susie was born November 30th 1970 to Fernando (Sr) and Velma Salas in Salt Lake City Utah and the only girl of 4 children, her motherly nature started early.
Starting in childhood and lasting throughout her lifetime she kept herself surrounded by family and friends. Susie was spiritually practicing her faith in everyday life, loving and including everyone into her life with no judgments.
Susie loved and cherished every moment she had with her children and grandchildren as they cherished those moments with her.
Susie was passionate about opening her home and cooking for as many as she could feed with love, DIY crafts with the kids and grandkids, and hosting parties. Susie loved dancing and singing from her heart to her favorite Spanish songs and encouraging others to join in (no one could ever say no to Susie).
Susie is preceded in death by her mother, Velma. Survived by her father Fernando Salas. Brothers Kenny (Heather) Wright, Tracy Salas, and Fernando (Crystal) Salas Jr.
