Matthew Eugene Harmon passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 51 from Covid-19 complications.
Matthew was born to Paul & Loretta Harmon on June 9, 1970 in Hammond, Indiana. After graduating high school, Matthew joined the Navy. He then transferred to the Army Reserve until the time of his death. Matthew worked at the Tooele Army Depot.
He married the love of his life, Kristin (Kiki) Harmon, on July 1, 2001.
On February 12, 2008, his daughter, Nora Grace Harmon made her way into the world. Matthew loved Nora more than life itself, and it showed every time he spoke about her. His face lit up just talking about her love for horses, any of her accomplishments, or just talking about her funny little self. They shared so many of the same interests, and hobbies and enjoyed doing those things together. They were best friends. He was so proud of her.
Matthew loved to be outdoors, hiking, riding bikes or even just taking his four-legged baby girl, Zoey, for long walks.
Matthew’s age was similar to water, it took the form of whatever environment he was in. He was the life of the party in a room full of 10 years olds, or could hold a good conversation with any of the adults. Matthew never met a stranger. He was kind to everyone and always had something to talk about.
All of his nieces & nephews adored him. He will be missed by them dearly.
Matthew was proceeded in death by his father Paul (Ann).
He is survived by his wife Kristin, daughter Nora, dog Zoey, mother Marilyn, siblings Mike (Chris), Mark (Alaina) & Marsha (Roman), his Coleman family and many nieces & nephews.
Kristy would like to thank all of the doctors and medical staff for the great care and compassion they gave Matthew during his stay at Mountain West Medical Center and the University of Utah.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 14th from 6:00-7:30pm at the Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home: 50 W Main St in Grantsville, UT 84029.
With a following celebration in Indiana.
