Mark Dean Seat “Skeeter” age 66, passed away on April 2, 2021 at his home in Grantsville surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born on April 14, 1954 in Miami, Oklahoma to Arnold and Inyce Seat. He was the second of seven children. He spent his childhood in Ambrosia Lake, New Mexico. As an adult he followed his work as a miner to Tooele County, Utah, where he met his wife and lifelong companion Nancy Riddle on Halloween 1981. He helped her raise two children and together they had three.
Mark had a love for Jesus Christ and often spent his time reading the Bible. He enjoyed watching football and the History Channel. He loved anything to do with history and loved to tell a good story to anyone that was around him. He was an amazing Drummist and loved music. His best pal and sidekick was his chihuahua, Shandy. Mark had a big beautiful heart, a genuine smile and a contagious laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Alyse Seat.
He is survived by his lifelong companion: Nancy Seat. Children; Melissa (Tim) Bringard, Jason (Denise) Marshall, Tyra (George) Seat, Markus (Brittney) Seat, Natasha (Colt) Seat. 24 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Arnold Seat, Denise Seat, Charm Martinez, Kay Snodgrass, Racheal Hill, Patty Aragon and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 7th from 11-12:30 at the Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home, 50 W. Main. Graveside services will follow at the Grantsville City Cemetery at 1 PM.

I remember meeting Mark as I walked down Clark St, we had some good talks before Covid-19 hit us. I’m truly sorry for your loss. Nancy, if you need anything let us know.
