Marie Jobe

Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and soon to be Great Great-Grandma

Marie (Solmonson) Jobe passed away Monday

August 26,2024 in the morning at the age of 87.

Born in Arcadia, Utah, she lived in Tooele for most of her later years.

She was an amazing sister to her late sister Ruby Lloyd, her brothers Ervin and Don Solmonson and a best friend to her baby sister Ila Adkins.

Wonderfully devoted to her 3 children

Laurie (Leon) Hearn, Bodie (Audrae) Jobe, Jerry (Kim) Jobe

She was a loving Grandmother to her 8 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and so excited for her two great great grandchildren on the way.

Along with many nieces and nephews whom most still called her Grandma.

Marie spent many years devoted to her job at the Tooele Army Depot where she was well known and admired.

In her retirement, she was very active in the Tooele Senior Center.

Marie was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman.

We will miss her every day.

Special thanks to all the wonderful people who cared for her

and made her days brighter.

I am so sorry to hear of maries passing. I loved her dearly, knowing her all my life. She was like an aunt to me, and very close to my parents . I babysat Bodie, Jerry and Laurie when I was 15 all summer long, and their family would visit us in park city. What a wonderful, sweet lady she was. Rest in peace Marie. Love you forever
