Kimberly Melissa Talavera, age 27, passed away on August 10, 2024 at Copperas Cove, Texas
She was born on May 8, 1997 in Lynwood, CA, to Brenda Diaz and Manuel Talavera Jr.
From the moment she was born, her radiant smile could warm anyone’s heart. Reading was her favorite pastime, with a particular love for hardcover books, even when her shelves were overflowing. Her passion for reading led her to write thousands of book reviews and blogs. She also enjoyed volunteering to review advance reader copies, supporting upcoming authors in the book community.
Kimmy’s love was unconditional, and she had a heart of gold. Her small inner circle meant the world to her, and she would give her last dollar to anyone in need. Those who knew Kimmy describe her as the sweetest, most thoughtful, and pure-hearted person they ever met. Despite her fear of needles, she became a Phlebotomist, showing empathy and easing the anxiety of every patient she encountered.
Kimmy’s unconditional love will forever remain in our hearts.
Kimmy’s favorite color was purple. Feel free to wear something purple in her honor.
She is survived by Brenda Diaz-Smith (mother), Scott Smith (dad), Ashlie Valdez (sister), Hilda Soto (grandma), Blanca Soto (aunt), and many other close relatives that loved her dearly.
Preceded in death by Maria de Jesus Soto (Great grandmother), Juanita Maldonado (Great grandmother), and Lalo Maldonado (Great grandfather)
