Harold Wallace Jones was born in Shreveport, LA, on February 1, 1957 to the late Wallace & Essie Jones.
Harold passed away on December 17, 2024, of natural causes.
Harold was the eldest of 6 siblings. Dexter Jones (deceased), Jennifer Jones-Joe (Clifford Joe), Kathy Jones-Thompson, Janet Jones-Smith and Debra Jones-Harris. His nickname was “Wally” & “Big Brother” to his siblings, and he wore the “Big Brother” title with honor, dignity, humbleness and love in his heart.
Harold came from a military family. His father served in the United States Air Force for 22 years.
Harold joined True Vine Baptist Church, Layton, Utah, and was baptized by Pastor Grover C. Walker. He always put The Lord first as he walked through his life’s journey.
Harold graduated from Bountiful High School in 1976 from there he moved to Washington State and attended WSU and earned a BBA degree.
Harold began his career as a Real Estate Agent, and as a Licensed Insurance Agent. Later in life, he enjoyed other opportunities like working for the Government as a TSA Agent for the SLC International Airport.
Harold was a people person. He loved communicating and helping people by providing them with his professional knowledge. Always adding a word of wisdom and a reason to smile.
Harold leaves behind a son, Denzel Jones, who was the love and joy of his life. His son was one of his greatest blessings.
Harold was a sincere and humble man who loved to give. He had a heart of gold! He always saw the best in people. He would always say “Never look down on another man and to treat everyone with respect”.
Harold loved taking walks in the park and his hobby’s included collecting vintage items, and his love for classic cars. He loved music and loved to sing. His favorite group was The Commodores, and he loved the song “Easy”.
Harold will be missed, and many will cherish his memory in their hearts forever. He leaves behind his sisters (Jennifer, Kathy, Janet and Debra), nephews (Lavell Pollard, Juwan (Nia) Ellis, Christopher Adams, niece (Marin Jones), uncles (Jimmy Jones (Sharon), Gary Jones and a host of beloved nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and associates.
