Zella Marie Smith (82) passed away at her home in Taylorsville on December 21st, 2025, Mom married our dad Cecil Earl Smith in 1958, and they quickly started building our family. They had 7 Children in 9 years. Teresa Randall, Sheila (Gary) Snow, Cecil D Smith, Brenda (Chris) Farley, Danny Smith (Deceased), Michael Smith and Doyle Smith. Mom was always a hard worker, and she always made sure things were done right. Or at least her way. She retired from Balkamp after 30+ years of service. At that point her home became her Sanctuary where she loved being with family, working in her yards and playing her slot machines. We are grateful that she was able to live out her life in her home. Mom’s health took a rapid decline in the last few months of her life; she endured a lot and complained very little. She truly was a soldier! Life was never easy for her; she was a strong-willed woman who overcame many obstacles and lived life on terms. Mom is loved beyond words and will be missed by many. Mom is survived by her children (listed above), 22 Grandchildren, 53 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. Proceeded in death by husband (Cecil), Son (Danny), and 4 Grandchildren, (Nicholas, Nicole, Jasen and Dominick)  

At mom’s request, a private service will be held in her honor. We will be having a Celebration of Life for her. The date has yet to be determined.
