Our loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, Tracy Kertamus was taken from us tragically and unexpectedly on October 7, 2025. Tracy was born to Dee and LeeAnn Long on June 13, 1985. As a child she always loved to be at the center of attention. She was the life of the party and a joy to everyone she knew.
Tracy was an absolute genius with math and numbers which led to her going into accounting as a profession. She received a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and then got her master’s degree in accounting from Utah State University. Tracy married the love of her life and soulmate, Jesse Kertamus, on November 26, 2010. They had 3 children together Clarke (12), Sosie (8) and Jesse Jr. (4). Jesse also had children from his previous relationships, Alex (Taneesha) Kertamus and their children Kellin, Liam and Hadley; Andrea (Savid) Acuna; Joel, Karly and Eli. Tracy didn’t believe in using the term stepchild; she loved all her children and treated them all as her own.
Tracy is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, sisters Jamie (Jeff) Rivera; Tonya Long; Alice (Michael) Ross; Heidi (Chris) Martinson; Sasha Kertamus and brother Jeremy (Nancy) Kertamus, as well as her many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Wendell and Afton Long; and Odell and Helen Foote; and her nephew Avery Kertamus. In her final moments she was doing what she loved most, taking care of her husband and children one last time. We don’t know what we are going to do without her here. Our hearts are broken, and our lives are all so much dimmer now that she is not here to light them up with her big and beautiful smile. Please hug your loved ones tight and remember to never take a day for granted.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 9 am to 10:30 am at the LDS Church located at 415 W Apple Street, Grantsville, UT 84029, to be followed by a private family service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the family’s Go Fund Me to help with funeral costs https://gofund.me/3c54c0365
