Terry Alan Vorwaller

Terry Alan Vorwaller passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born September 19, 1944, in Tooele, Utah, to Louis and Bernice Vorwaller, Terry is the 5th of 6 children, 4 brothers: Darrel, Blaine, Don and Wes and a sister LuAnn VonHatten.
Terry lived in Tooele for most of his life, except while serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany from October 1963 to April 1966. He later served his country in the United States Air Force from June 1967 to December 1970, stationed in Victorville, California. His career as a plumber began during his service in the Air Force and continued at the Tooele Army Depot. After retirement, he worked many side jobs. His favorite was driving for Uber and Lyft for the last several years, where he enjoyed visiting with passengers, sharing words of wisdom, and extending his spirit of generosity.
Terry married Lynne Williams on March 3, 1967, with his eternal sweetheart, together they raised nine children. Following Lynne’s passing, he married Christine Pendley on June 22, 1991, adding four stepchildren. He served faithfully in many church callings in both ward and stake capacities.
Terry loved vacationing and making memories with his family, especially while playing games and sharing laughter. Always up for an adventure, he enjoyed exploring in his side-by-side, riding motorcycles, snow skiing, boating, and chasing sunsets. A true handyman, he could tinker with and fix just about anything. He had a wonderful way of making people laugh with his silly faces and teasing nature. Above all, his greatest joy was caring for and being with his family. He had an unwavering faith, and his deep love for God shaped how he treated others, always with an open heart, a listening ear, and a spirit of generosity.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Christine Vorwaller; his nine children with Lynne: Stacy Landis (Hogan), Cory Cook (Paul), Paul (Kelli), Ty (Jaime), Scot (Brittany), Brian (Zada), Kerri Voelcker (Aaron), Stephanie Fulmer (Shon), and Darin (Sara); and his stepchildren, Shane Martin (Tina), Aubree Brito (Dustyn), and Derik Brito (Tabitha). Terry and Christine raised two grandchildren as their own, Christian Brito and Ethan Brito. He was blessed with 47 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Vorwaller, his brothers: Darrel, Blaine, Don and his stepson, Shad Peterson.
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to LDS Hospital; Jade Landis, his granddaughter and hospice nurse with Harmony Home Health and Hospice; Cottage Glen Assisted Living; Dalton Hoopes Mortuary; and Floral for Sally for their care and support.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12 Noon in the North Stake Center, 583 N 270 E., Tooele, Utah. Viewings will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM and also on Friday from 10:30-11:30 prior to services Both at the Stake Center. Burial will follow in the Tooele City Cemetery with Military Honors from the Hill Air Force Honor Guard. A Luncheon will be provided following the graveside at the Stake Center.

He was the sweetest foster father that I’ve had. I will miss you, never had the opportunity to visit with you again, but you shared photos and videos with me. I know some day I will see you again. Thank you for everything that you have brought into my life the teasing, the joy and sharing the gospel with me in my younger years. I will forever remember you and thank you to the family for being part of my life. ❤️❤️ my sincerest condolences to my family. 🙏

Terry and Lynn Vorwaller took me in when I was a senior in high school and I will never forget it. I loved being with the whole family and I felt so much love from them. Such a sweet and giving man. I will miss you Terry.
Oh my gosh, so sorry Aunt Chris, wonderful caring uncle he was,so helpful with so much knowledge and advice, he will so be missed, love you all so much.
There will always be a special place in my heart for Uncle Terry. He always had a smile. I loved his laugh. May he rest in peace in the arms of loved ones who have passed before him.
Chris, we have loved Terry from the very forst time we met him when you brought him to our home and introduced him as your fiance! You two sat on our sofa,close to one another and holding hands like teenagers in love.You were so in love. We recognized the goodness in him and your love for him immediately.That was a long time ago.Terry has been the best brother-in-law,so kind,sweet,and enjoyable to be around. You two juggled life together and each helped each other grow.Mont and I love you both with all our hearts!Remember that God is in the details of our lives and meets us where we are. He will sustain you until you meet your sweet Terry again.
