May 5, 1955 – June 29, 2026
Perry David Watson, 71, passed peacefully into the arms of his loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at home in Tooele, Utah, on June 29, 2026, due to congestive heart failure. He was born in LaJunta, Colorado, to Johnny A. Watson and Mary Doris Sober Watson. He was a faithful member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Grantsville, Utah.
Perry’s singing voice was rich with a wide range of ability which he used to glorify God at every opportunity. He was a devoted Christian who loved to study God’s Word. In his 50’s, Perry wrote the entire Bible twice in his own handwriting, once in English, the other in Spanish. As a hardworking father willing to help anyone who would ask, he was known to drive around in a car full of tools just in case there was a bike chain, VCR, or broken-down car someone would need help fixing. He had an associate’s degree working as a Honeywell Computer Engineer for over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul, Peter and Jonathan Watson, wife Mary Ann Harrison, daughter Barbara Michelle Wade.
He is survived by his siblings Shirley Ehler (Paul), Phillip Watson (Chris), Patrick Watson (Sue), Lois Parke, Esther Cook (John), his daughter Naomi and grandson Timothy Watson, son-in-law Lee Wade and grandsons, Kristopher, Lee Wade Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 17, at 6:00 p.m. 628 Quirk Street Grantsville, UT 84029; Willow Brook Venue. All are welcome to come and remember Perry David’s life and legacy.
Our deep appreciation to the doctor, nurses and aids of Canyon HomeCare & Hospice for the excellent care they provided Perry.
