Oscar Daniel Jimenez (74), born October 14, 1951, in Tenamaxtlan, Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026.
Oscar was dearly loved by many. Above all else he cherished his family, always working hard to ensure they were well taken care of. A man of great dedication, he retired from Swire Coca-Cola after 14 years of service.
He attended the Universidad de Guadalajara to pursue a degree in Architecture. With only 1 semester left to graduate, he decided on a different path, one dictated by love. Oscar met the love of his life, Celina, when they were young. Distance only served to increase their affection for one another as they wrote love letters and courted for 5 long years until he sold his hot rod so they could get married.
He had a love for fast cars and hot rods. He was a master storyteller, and nothing brought him more joy than gathering his children and grandkids to recount his legendary racing stories. A true rock and roll soul at heart, he was famous for his spontaneous air guitar performances. His greatest love was his grandkids; he was the ultimate fun-loving grandpa, always ready with a well-timed joke to keep the kids laughing.
Oscar was a man of many talents, gifted with a creative intelligence that allowed him to master any project he touched. Whether he was fine-tuning a powerful engine or meticulously tending to his garden, he took immense pride in his work, and it showed—he was well-known for having the best yard in the whole neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Celina Jimenez, and his three children: Celina Espinoza (Arturo), Oscar Jimenez (Noemi), and Ulysses Jimenez (Lizette). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 30th, at 10:00 AM at St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Tooele, Utah, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Grantsville Cemetery.
