In Loving Memory of Leneah Salamasina Taeoali’i
September 6, 2015 – August 6, 2026
Our beautiful Leneah Salamasina Taeoali’i was almost eleven years old when her life was tragically taken after a drowning accident in a pond in Murray, Utah. In her final moments, Leneah showed the courage and love that defined who she was—she saved her little sister before losing her own life.
Her middle name, Salamasina, means “Moon Queen.” And that is exactly what she was to us-our little Moon Queen, our beautiful Queen who lit up every room and every life she touched. She was fun, energetic, smart, sassy, and truly a social butterfly. She had an infectious laugh and a personality that could light up any room. Leneah never met a stranger. She would literally talk to anyone and was always in your business—in the very best way.
She ran around the neighborhood with a whole slew of kids and somehow always became the leader. She brought energy, laughter, and life wherever she went. Her presence was impossible to miss, and her absence will be felt by so many.
Leneah was Daddy’s favorite person and loved going shopping with Mama. Her sister was her very best friend. The two of them did everything together, shared so many memories, and had a bond that will forever remain in our hearts.
She loved her family deeply and was so full of life and love. She loved butterflies, Harry Potter—especially Gryffindor—and listening to Twenty-One Pilots. She had so many interests, so much personality, and so much more life ahead of her.
Although our hearts are shattered that Leneah is no longer physically with us, her story does not end here.
Because Leneah was an organ donor, she will save the lives of others. The same little girl who gave everything to save her sister will continue giving life to others. Her beautiful heart, generous spirit, and love will live on in the lives she helps save.
Leneah is survived by her loving parents, Fotu and Jessica Taeoali’i, and her siblings, Brandon, Charli, David, and Natia, grandparents Fotu and Pam Taeoali’i and great grandfather Bob, grandparents Chris and Sandra Christensen, grandmother Sandi Stillings, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She leaves behind a family who loves her beyond words and a community whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has surrounded us during this unimaginable time.
Thank you to Life Flight, Primary Children’s Hospital, and every nurse, doctor, medical professional, and staff member who cared for Leneah and our family. Thank you to the donor team for helping make it possible for Leneah to continue her legacy of giving life and especially Rob with Donor Connect for becoming a part of our family.
Thank you to every person who has prayed for Leneah, prayed for our family, donated, brought food, offered support, sent messages, or simply thought of us during this heartbreaking time. Your love has carried us through moments when we didn’t know how we would keep going.
A very special thank-you to Cravings Cupcakes for organizing the fundraiser and to everyone who contributed to it. We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown to our family.
There are no words big enough to describe what Leneah meant to us. She was our little Moon Queen, our social butterfly, our sassy girl, our leader, our laughter, our love.
She was here for almost eleven beautiful years, and she filled those years with more life than many people experience in a lifetime.
Leneah, you will forever be our little Moon Queen.
Your laugh, your sass, your love for your family, and your big, beautiful personality will never be forgotten.
You saved your sister.
And now, through the gift of life you have given to others, you will continue to save lives.
We love you forever, Leneah.
Until we meet again.

In her Sister in your hearts that she was important to our Heavenly Father her work was done she is home and ever full moon will see her smiling down on you
Leneah, I am going to miss hearing your laugh outside our window. I loved how gentle you and your sister were when you pet Mystery and Mayhem (if you see angel Mystery, give her a pet for us). Your courage, compassion, and love were exemplary. Something that even adults will take notes from. I know you’re now the guardian angel for your family, especially your sister. Every time I see a butterfly soaring high, I’ll be thinking of you.
To your family: You have suffered the hardest kind of loss. Be gentle on yourselves and each other. Leneah is nearby. Talk to her. She’s listening.
Pam & Fotu, My heart is broken for you. I’m praying for your family daily. I love you guys.
Darling little Leneah, happy, fun girl. Your dad reminded me your favorite thing at grandma Sandi’s was playing ball with Cissy- you’re with her now. I hope she’ll be a fun companion.
I’m imagining you being welcomed by generations of Taeoali’i and Christensen’s who’ve gone before you.
I know you’re your mom, dad, Natia, Charli, David & Brandon’s special angel. Brave hero. Well done my good & faithful servant.
