Obituary of Kenneth A. Staker

Kenneth Alan Staker
Kenneth passed away unexpectedly on October 25th, 2026 surrounded by family and loved ones. Born September 23rd, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Alan and Kathryn Thompson Staker. Married to Jamie Ellen Morgan , April 16, 1988. Throughout his life he built a lasting legacy of love, devotion, and family. He touched countless lives through humor, kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. He had the most legendary sense of humor even though it was dark at times. He always had a positive outlook on life. He told everyone “not to sweat the small stuff.” He was a kind and fearless soul. He lived long enough to celebrate his 60th birthday and meet his newest grandson, Thomas.
He loved being a dad to Whitney (Weston) and Bradley (Marissa). He was the best papa to Augustus, Claira, and Thomas. Family was his everything. He never told the kids or grandkids “no.” No matter what he always made any and every new hobby happen.
Kenny grew up in Salt Lake City to Jensen City on a farm then Sandy and eventually settled in Erda. Kenny kept his parents very busy as a child. He was so curious and adventurous. He was always taking apart and putting things back together. He was the biggest kid of them all. He went to Alta High School, Class of 1984.
Kenny and Jamie have a love story for the books. He was working for his dad doing construction. He got a job building a log home for Jamie’s parents. It didn’t take long after seeing Jamie for Kenny to fall for her. They had a bond so deep and enduring that they never needed to call each other by name. Instead, they simply called each other “dear” a small, tender expression that spoke volumes about the love they shared.
He was hardworking. He always had a project he was working on, whether it was a car in the garage or home improvements. He was truly a jack of all trades, he could fix anything. He took care of many animals throughout his life and loved it. He devoted an immense amount of time to his families animals. He had a unique little farm of goats, pigs, sheep, horses, ducks and plenty more. His family and kids all loved and benefited from the little farm.
Him and Jamie opened Kleen N Green Car Wash in 2023, in Stansbury Park, Utah. From the beginning it was a popular spot to get the best car wash in town.
He was dedicated to and loved his work. He worked as a Geotechnologist Engineering Technician in the Laboratory at UDOT for 20 years. He established wonderful lasting relationships throughout his career. He made friends everywhere he went. He got along with everyone and everyone loved having him around.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. His faith was an important part of his life.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, siblings Robert (Natalie), James (Lynn), Kayte (Kelly), his parents, and many nieces and nephews who considered him the “Fun Uncle!” He is also survived by mother-in-law and father-in-law Kathleen and Rich. 1. A beautiful dedication to a very special man. My deepest condolences to my extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles and their children for this tragic loss.

  2. Kenny was not just my cousin, he was like the big brother that I didn’t have. He was always ppranking me and his siblings in very odd ways! As we grew up, we moved away from each other pursuing our dreams. He has a beautiful family, ran a small farm, and found the energy to work a lot harder than most. I have missed him so much, 😢 and time has expired for me to see him again. My condolences to his family, friends, and especially his parents, aunt athy and uncle Alan. I pray that all will find comfort in knowing that we will see him again, and he’s with all of those who passed before. I love you Kenny!
