Jonnie Jim Onederra, lovingly known as Jon, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of eighty, in Stansbury Park, Utah. He was at home, surrounded by his family.
Jon was born on December 16, 1945, in Boise, Idaho. He grew up in Boise until the age of eleven when his family moved to Grandview Idaho to run a dairy farm. That is where he learned his tireless work ethic and excelled in both athletics and academics. That is also where he met and married Pam Biladeau. They remained married until his death and enjoyed their 59 years together. Jon graduated from Boise State University, where he was honored as a member of the National Honor Society.
Following his education, Jon began a long and fruitful career in the grocery business. He was a store director at Albertsons. He owned his own store for many years in Rawlings, WY and finished his career as a store director at the Tooele Albertsons. Through years of dedication, hard work, and integrity, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Jon was also a coach to his children. He loved to fish and hunt. He made beautiful fly rods and loved to be able to scout what bugs were out so that he could tie fly’s for the next day. He loved spending time with family and friends. He is one of the only people we know who sprained his ankle watching a football game on TV.
Above all, Jon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love for his family was evident in all that he did, and his steady presence will be deeply missed.
Jon is survived by his wife, Pam Onederra; his children, Jon Onederra, Karla McClaren, Kari Onederra, Kevin Favro, Karman Collins, Nathan Collins; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Ashlee Radcliff, Colby Radcliff, Alexandria Summers, Sage Onederra, Ciara Standish, Kyla Collins; Kane Collins, Kohen Collins, Carter Radcliff, Teegan Radcliff, and Onyx Onederra; and his sister Geri Black, Niece Becki Black and nephew Don Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opal (Percy) and Pete Onederra.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Stansbury Country Club House, 1 Country Club Drive, Suite 1, from 10:00am – 12:00pm on February 28th. A light lunch will be served following the event. Casual clothes appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
Jon lived his life by the following quote: “A good fisherman goes out of his way to bait his hook with what the fish prefer- which might not be a bad tip for those who wish to succeed in human relationships.” -Napoleon Hill

Man and ex father -in-law ! Rest in peace ❤️
Sending our love to your family. Your smile and positive vibes will be missed. It was those little things that made us feel important- like a friendly greeting, asking about our loved ones, sharing a story or telling a joke. Your kindness will be missed, by your many friends and especially your family.
So sad to see this obit. I enjoyed Jon daily when I worked at First Security/Wells Fargo. He was always so pleasant.
Jon, my condolences at the passing of your dad. We are never ready to let them go. May your memories keep him alive in your heart.
Jon was the most amazing and kind person you could ever know. Growing up as a teenager, I’ll never forget his genuine kindness and the endless patience he showed me and Karman. He truly shaped the way I see the world.
He embraced being himself while never wavering in his kindness.
Sending so much love,
Carey
More like a brother than an in-law. He was what I called Real People. Polite & gentle, rude and mean. Whatever it took. Miss you bro.
