David Malcoulm Te’o

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Malcoulm Te’o, age 48. He passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2025.

David was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, cousin, uncle, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew him. Born on October 6, 1976, in Torrance, California, to Nora Purcell, David spent his childhood in California, surrounded by a close and loving family. He had a deep love for sports, especially football, and was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan. He played football for and attended Hawthorne High School (Class of 1995).

As an adult, David moved to Utah to be closer to his family. He was known for his incredible ability to make friends and build lifelong connections. David had a unique gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and valued.

David is survived by his loving wife, Amanda (Mandee) Te’o; his children, Savanah, Aliyah, Olivia, Kali, James, and Andrew; his brother, William Purcell (Melissa), and their sons, Edwin and Thomas; along with numerous beloved family members and friends whose lives he touched profoundly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nora Purcell, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.

David’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and kindness. His infectious smile, comforting presence, and the memories he leaves behind will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate to know him. His love for his family exemplified the timeless truth that families are forever, and his spirit will remain a part of ours always.

Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the everlasting impact he made. His love and spirit will forever live on through his children and the generations to come.

Rest in Love, David.

You will forever remain in our hearts.

  4. David,

Worked for me at Hertz. He was an exceptional, positive human being. You just did not work with David, you laughed with David. He had a knack for getting to know whom he worked with find out what he had in common with you and that was the bond. I never had to worry when I was working a shift and he was on it. A solid human being who could work without being supervised and just knew what to do.

May God hold him in the palm of his hand.
    God Bless You David
