Obituary of Cristal Lin Archibald

Cristal Lin Archibald, 55, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her husband and daughters, due to Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance. She was born on November 16, 1970, in American Fork, Utah, to Joseph Paul Giles and Linda Lee Giles. She married her loving husband Jason Archibald on March 10, 1989.

Cristal was stubborn and feisty, with a caring and compassionate heart. She loved helping people, making everyone smile and laugh; it showed in everything she did. An 80’s chick through and through, she had a love of 80’s hair metal bands. She loved spending her time outdoors and was an avid gardener who found joy in golfing, fishing, and long rides on the Harley with Jason. She also loved traveling to Puerto Vallarta, sitting on the beach, toes in the sand and sipping cervezas. Above all, she was an amazing mom to her two daughters, Randi and Codie. She was so proud of all her grandkids: Tagen, Rave, Swayzee, and Rainlee. She also adored her grandfurbabies.

Cristal is survived by her husband, Jason, her kids Randi and Shawn Carson, Codie and Jojo Archibald-Begay, and her grandkids. She was greeted with open arms in the afterlife by her father, J. Paul Giles, her beloved dogs, cats, and various saved critters.

Cristal and Jason would never say goodbye to each other throughout their marriage, instead they would say, “But I know I will see you once more. When I see you, I’ll see you on the other side.” Jason’s last words as he ran his fingers through her hair and held her hand to the end.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

  1. Thank you Cristal for always being so kind to me. Always making me feel welcome with you guys on the course and for all of the encouragement you continued to give me every time we seen each other. I will cherish the laughs we shared. I love you sweet lady.

  2. My dear Jason – I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife, Cristal. There is no way to lessen the sorrow of losing someone so precious to you…but please remember that others care very much and wish you strength and comfort during this time of grief. Please know that I’m thinking of you and holding you close in my heart.

  3. Crystal my beautiful, edgy, cool cousin from Pleasant Grove. Crystal is a couple years older than me and her sister Jen maybe a year younger. I spent a week or two a couple summers in PG. Crystal had a license and Jen and I would tag along. Crystal had the coolest friends and would take us “down in the valley.” I didn’t exactly know where that was at the time. I just know that it was a blast and some of the greatest memories of my life.
Like the Clueless movie. We could have been those girls. Lol 💞Yep.
Right at the greater part of being a teenager. We slept in the treehouse at Grandpa Hiltons’s/Linda’s. We would sneak out and wander around town. Crystal took us to some awesome parties and we were probably a nightmare at that age. So so so, much fun. Good times. My perspective of how much fun it was and how much time I spent at Linda’s is probably way out of wack, but to me it was like 2 whole summers of nothing but Strawberry Days, parties, and more Strawberry days, and endless camping all summer long. It was so great, the greatest memories.
We were visiting Linda. For some reason Crystal came rumbling in riding a big motorcycle. Glammed up in leathers and sunglasses with cool short hair, spike neck choker, and killer boots. She could have been wearing chaps too.
    Just so freaking awesome cool.
Thank you so much Crystal for everything. You put me and my memories before your busy life and plans that you probably had. I’m sure you had friends and a million other plans and places to be that you didn’t do to give me the best summers and the most awesome memories of my life.
You are the best. We will see you later. I will never forget.
    Later……
