Obituary of Connie Mair Kirk

Connie Jean Mair Kirk, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 23, 2026, at her home in Tooele, Utah, from complications of type 2 diabetes. She was born on February 21, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Darwin Lindsay Mair and Beth Elaine Sutton.
Connie grew up in Grantsville, Utah, and graduated in 1981. She married Michael Val Woods, and they were later divorced. She later married Darin Jay Kirk, and they also later divorced.
Connie had a deep love for church history and genealogy and enjoyed spending time reading. Among her favorite books were Gerald N. Lund’s The Work and the Glory series and the Little House on the Prairie books. She also loved watching The Waltons, collecting antiques, and enjoying Western movies.
Connie is survived by her son, Jason (Tyffiney) Woods; her grandchildren, Payton, Shayley, Cameron, and bonus grandson Blayke Snow; her brother, Darwin Lee Mair; her sisters, Carolee Ashworth and Shirley Watkins; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elaine, Trudy, and Christine; her brothers, Craig and Greg; and her grandson, Weston Lee Payne.
