Cindy Lou Murray, age 73 passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026 in Tooele, Utah due to a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born to Jack and Darlene Gibson on August 11, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Cindy married Richard Murray in 1969 and together they raised 3 children: Shane (Cari) Murray, Brandon Murray and Darlene Murray. Later they separated and she met her life partner Bill Abbott.
Cindy enjoyed life. She loved deeply and was the kindest, most giving person. She had a heart of gold. She enjoyed bowling and played on a woman’s bowling league in her early years. She loved shopping, spending time with family and friends. For 25+ years she worked for Tooele Army Depot as a clerk and retired in her 60’s.
She is survived by her 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, her brothers Rand (Carol) Gibson, Dev (Holly) Gibson, Guy (Naomi) Gibson and Bill Abbott.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister: Pamela (Bill) Bradshaw, Jackie (Thomas) Cardenas and Richard Murray.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Speirs Farm, 394 W 200 So., Tooele, Utah.
