Betty May Denyer Eanes passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on January 15, 1933, in New London, Connecticut, to Margaret Weaver and Walter Thomas Denyer, Betty was known for her strength, independence, and quiet humor.
In 1951, she married Jerry Elton Eanes, and they shared 39 years of marriage before his passing. Together, they raised five children. Later in life, Betty found companionship and happiness with her partner of 14 years, Robert Weir.
Betty worked as a dental hygienist for two years before beginning a dedicated 35-year career with JCPenney. Her reliability, strong work ethic, and unwavering sense of responsibility made her a valued friend and colleague.
She enjoyed simple, meaningful pleasures: baking cookies, sewing, fishing and shrimping, watching her grandchildren play sports, and shopping with the girls. She treasured time spent with family and took great pride in the generations that followed her.
Betty is survived by her daughter She is survived by her daughter, 1 brother, 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, sons Thomas, Steven, and Robert, daughter Belinda and partner Robert.

Interment will take place at a later date in Titusville, Florida.
