Cristal Lin Archibald, 55, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her husband and daughters, due to Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance. She was born on November 16, 1970, in American Fork, Utah, to Joseph Paul Giles and Linda Lee Giles. She married her loving husband Jason Archibald on March 10, 1989.
Cristal was stubborn and feisty, with a caring and compassionate heart. She loved helping people, making everyone smile and laugh; it showed in everything she did. An 80’s chick through and through, she had a love of 80’s hair metal bands. She loved spending her time outdoors and was an avid gardener who found joy in golfing, fishing, and long rides on the Harley with Jason. She also loved traveling to Puerto Vallarta, sitting on the beach, toes in the sand and sipping cervezas. Above all, she was an amazing mom to her two daughters, Randi and Codie. She was so proud of all her grandkids: Tagen, Rave, Swayzee, and Rainlee. She also adored her grandfurbabies.
Cristal is survived by her husband, Jason, her kids Randi and Shawn Carson, Codie and Jojo Archibald-Begay, and her grandkids. She was greeted with open arms in the afterlife by her father, J. Paul Giles, her beloved dogs, cats, and various saved critters.
Cristal and Jason would never say goodbye to each other throughout their marriage, instead they would say, “But I know I will see you once more. When I see you, I’ll see you on the other side.” Jason’s last words as he ran his fingers through her hair and held her hand to the end.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
