Ronald Lee Roberts, age 84 passed away on September 24, 2026, at University of Utah Hospital due to complications from a stroke. He was born on June 4, 1942, in Ashland West Virginia to James Roberts and Jaunita Stevens.
Ron moved to Tooele County, Utah when he was 16 years old with his mother, brother, and two sisters. He met and married Gayle in 1963. They had two children, John and Debbie. They later divorced.
Ron worked at Bauer for 5 years where he was a Technician in the Separations and Float Area. He then went to work at the Tooele Army Depot North Area and South Area Depot, working as a Boiler Fireman Supervisor and CAMDS to fully retire in 2006. He had property in Idaho where he enjoyed going. He loved going for rides to Condie Meadows, Ericsons Pass and all over the West Desert. He loved fishing at Vernon and Rainbow Reservoir. Ron enjoyed shooting guns. Ron was famous for his garage parties and the cookouts he had there. He was a big jokester and loved to kid around with his family and friends. Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Elks Lodge in Tooele County. Ron depended a lot on his two very best friends, Camille Shubert and Carrie Wilkes, whom he called her his Kido. Ron made numerous friends in his lifetime that meant a lot to him.
Survived by his son John, his wife Sheri. Daughters Debbie and Misty. Grandchildren, Jon, Chase, Elizabith, and Timothy. Great Grandchildren, Chevonne, and Annelise. Nephews Rowland and Brian. Nieces Rolana and Rochelle.
Preceded in death by his father James, his mother Jaunita, his brother Rowland, his sisters Derma and Shirley. Nephews Lane and Jimmy.
Celebration of Life will be held October 17, 2026, at the Moose Lodge in Tooele starting at 2pm.
