Michael Blake Pfannerstill was born Dec. 19, 1970 in Brookfield, WI and passed on Sept 1, 2026 at IMC in Murray, UT, surrounded by the ones he loved the most.
He was born to William John and Linda Frances Stocker Pfannerstill. He spent the first 11 years on Green Bay then moved with his family to Sandy, UT. He graduated from Jordan High School class of ‘89.
From an early age he found a love for fishing and the outdoors from his dad who he had a great deal of love and respect for. He also loved classic cars, especially his Monte Carlo.
He had rheumatic fever as a child that led to a lifetime of heart issues including two open heart surgeries and sudden cardiac death in 2012 that by the grace of God, he survived. He had a great love for Jesus and knew where he was going since he had already been there once in 2012.
He married the love of his life, Melissa Jo Stone, June 5, 1992. Together they had three children. Bailey (Josh) Gibbons, Colten and Colbey Pfannerstill. There are no words for the amount of love he had for his family. He wanted to teach his children everything he knew from fishing and hunting to golf and football. He couldn’t have been more proud of his children and the things they have accomplished.
Later in life, he found happiness in the simple things like playing MTG & DnD with his kids and family and board games but especially Yahtzee and Monopoly.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Colbey, his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Melissa, his daughter and son-in-law, Bailey and Josh, his son and best bud, Colten, his in-laws Danny and Nancy Clements and Melissa’s siblings, Little Love, his golf mentor and uncle, John Stocker, his campfire sittin’, snowmobiling brother from another mother, Clint Jones, extended family (too many to list) and countless friends from around the globe. Our furbabies, Memphis and Mojo, who are feeling the emptiness without him here.
Mike’s wishes were to be cremated and sprinkled over corn flakes, however, we will NOT be honoring the second request due to obvious health concerns, Sorry Mike.
There will be a celebration of life in the near future. We will post updates and/or texts.
We love you Mike, as big as everything. We’ll do all we can to honor you until we meet again.

Months before Mikey became my brother, he became my friend. I had promised someone dear to me I would take her to the Garth Brooks concert. Tickets were nearly impossible to get. One Albertson’s announced it had tickets they would put on sell, first come first serve. 6 of us piled in my ‘64 Chev pickup, and got there just after sundown. Everyone found a place to fall asleep in it…fortunately it was summer, except for me, and Mikey. He stayed awake all night with me for a promise he didn’t make. I didn’t get any tickets, a had to go to a scalper, but I got something infinitely more valuable…a memory of my brother-to-be.
I am so glad that Chris and I got to spend time with Mike and Melissa and their family. We learned that Mike was a gentle soul, loving the simple pleasures of
Now he and Chris can share hunting stories in heaven.
