Obituary of Brandon Rogers

In Loving Memory of Brandon Rogers 3/17/83-8/22/26

Brandon, 43, left this world far too soon, from injuries sustained from a tragic accident.

He lived life on his own terms: Pepsi or Monster Import in hand, pizza nearby, dirt on his clothes, and little concern for whether anyone thought his latest idea was a good one.

Brandon loved paddleboarding, camping, snowboarding, and mountain biking, but the dunes had his heart. Give him a Can-Am, open sand, a full tank of gas, and a questionable plan, and he was exactly where he wanted to be. He wasn’t always looking for trouble, but trouble seemed to find him—and he was usually happy to take it for a ride.

His humor was irreverent, inappropriate, and often so wrong that laughing was the only possible response. He could break the tension with one outrageous comment and turn an ordinary moment into a story everyone remembered. Adventurous, crazy, and loud when he wanted to be, Brandon was probably doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing at least 73% of the time.

Brandon was also a dreamer who had the courage to take a chance on himself. He left behind a safe and comfortable job to pursue his dream of starting his own fabrication company, Deviant Fab N Custom. Through his company, he specialized in creating custom cages for the sport he loved so much. His work was an extension of his creativity, determination, and passion for the off-road community. He didn’t simply enjoy the sport—he helped build, protect, and improve the machines that made those adventures possible.

But his wild side was only part of who he was. Brandon was a devoted husband to Amber, the love of his life and, as he affectionately called her, “Gingy Sauce.” Their relationship was filled with laughter, loyalty, shared adventures, and the kind of love that made even ordinary days meaningful. Amber was his partner in life, his favorite person to be with, and the one who knew him best—the man behind the jokes, the noise, the stubbornness, and the endless need to keep moving. He loved her deeply, and the life they built together was one of his greatest adventures.

Brandon was a proud father to Tyler and Mason, and his bonus son Dilyn whom he loved fiercely. He took pride in watching them grow, find their own paths, and become the men they are today. He was there to encourage them, challenge them, make them laugh, and remind them—sometimes gently and sometimes in his own unmistakable way—that he believed in them. His love was steady and unshakable, woven into the advice he gave, the time he shared, and the memories he created with them. They will carry not only his stories but also the lessons he taught through the way he lived: to be brave, to enjoy the ride, to show up for the people you love, and never be afraid to make life an adventure.

Brandon was also grateful to have Jaqoy as part of the family as Tyler’s wife. He welcomed her with the same humor, teasing, loyalty, and love he gave to those closest to him. Jaqoy held a special place in Brandon’s heart, and he was proud to call her family. The memories they shared, the laughter they enjoyed, and the love between them will remain a meaningful part of his legacy. He was also thrilled to welcome Mason’s love, Hope into our family. That’s the kind of man he was.

Being an Opa brought Brandon a special kind of happiness. His granddaughters, Tempist—affectionately known as “Naughty Sauce”—and Penelope, lovingly nicknamed “The Traitor,” brought him immense joy. He adored their personalities, their laughter, and the unique place each of them held in his heart. He was the kind of Opa who could turn a simple visit into an adventure, a quiet moment into a joke, and an ordinary day into a memory they would carry forever. He was also eagerly looking forward to welcoming his grandson, Cameron Scott, in September—a little boy he already loved deeply and couldn’t wait to meet. Though Brandon will not be there to hold Cameron in his arms, Cameron will grow up surrounded by the stories, love, and memories of an Opa who was already eagerly awaiting him.

Brandon also leaves behind his mother, Sherrie; his sisters, Misti and Cori; his brother, Brian; his brothers-in-law, Tyler and Mike; his sister-in-law, Susie; and his nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. His family was not simply a part of his life—they were at the center of it. He showed his love by showing up, sharing adventures, lending a hand, making people laugh, and making sure no one felt forgotten. He remembered the details, kept the family connected, and brought his unmistakable energy into every gathering. Whether he was teasing someone, helping with a project, planning the next outing, or simply being present, Brandon made people feel that they mattered.

His nieces and nephews knew him as someone who could make them laugh, include them in the fun, and turn even the most ordinary family time into something memorable. He gave them stories to tell, terrorized them, created traditions to remember, and gave them the feeling of being loved exactly as they were. His presence will remain in family gatherings, shared jokes, familiar sayings, and the adventures that will continue in his honor.

Those who loved him will miss the big things—the trips, rides, camping weekends, and memories made in the places he loved—as well as the small things: his voice, his laugh, his familiar jokes, and the sound of him coming through the door. They will miss the everyday moments that now feel priceless: the quick conversations, the teasing, the unexpected phone calls, the meals shared, and the comfort of knowing Brandon was there. His absence will be felt in every family milestone, every celebration, and every moment when someone instinctively reaches for the person who would have made it funnier, louder, or more memorable.

Brandon leaves behind a family and circle of friends who loved him fiercely, along with a lifetime of stories, countless memories, and a collection of half-finished projects nobody else knows how to complete. His impact will live on in every person whose life he touched. He will live on in the courage to try something new, the willingness to help, the instinct to make someone laugh, and the determination to keep moving forward even when the road gets difficult.

Those stories will keep him close, especially on the days when missing him feels heaviest. His family will carry him forward—not by leaving him behind, but by bringing his love, humor, stubbornness, generosity, and adventurous spirit into everything that comes next.

We imagine Brandon’s version of heaven looks something like this:

A giant set of dunes.

Perfect weather.

A machine with a full tank of gas.

Unlimited Pepsi, Monster Imports, and pizza.

No speed limits.

No responsibilities.

And absolutely nobody telling him to calm the hell down.

Brandon, we weren’t ready to say goodbye. There was still so much we wanted to do with you, so many places to go, and so many laughs left to share.

We love you. We miss you. We are grateful for every adventure, ridiculous moment, act of kindness, and memory you gave us. We’ll keep telling your stories—especially the ones you probably wouldn’t want printed in your obituary—because that is one way we will keep you with us.

Your love will remain in the family you cherished, in the children and grandchildren who carry your legacy, in the people you supported, and in the countless lives made brighter by your presence.

Ride fast, Son, Husband, Dad, Brother, Opa, Father-in-law, Brother-in-Law, Uncle and friend.

And if there are sand dunes up there, we already know you’re finding out how fast you can get to the top.

It’s not goodbye; it’s until we see you again❤️

A celebration of life will be held for Brandon on Saturday September 19th at Little Sahara Recreation Area at 27020 W Sand Mountain Rd, Nephi, UT 84648. Additional details will be provided in the coming days.
