Obituary of Aiden James McLam

Aiden James McLam, age 14, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born on July 2, 2011, in West Jordan, Utah, to his loving parents, Christen Goodwin and Derick McLam.

He is survived by his parents, Christen and Derick McLam; brother Liam; sisters Quinn and Rylee; and grandparents Tom and Chris Mitchell, and Robert and Carolyn McLam.

Aiden was a loving big brother, always protective of his sisters and a devoted companion to his older brother, Liam. He was cherished by his parents, Christen and Derick, and adored by his grandparents, who treasured every moment with him.

Aiden brought laughter, light, and love wherever he went. His bright blue eyes and joyful spirit could brighten any room. Aiden was curious, creative, and full of life, and everyone who knew him felt his kindness and warmth.

Aiden loved sports, gaming, and he enjoyed listening to music. He enjoyed learning the guitar, exploring his creativity, and spending time with his family. Even in small moments, his laughter and enthusiasm were contagious.

Though Aiden was taken from us far too soon, we take comfort in our faith that life continues beyond this mortal existence. We rejoice in the knowledge that he is safe in the care of a loving Heavenly Father, and we will see him again.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 12 Noon at the Grantsville West Stake Center, 115 E Cherry St.  Viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 prior to services. Private family burial will be in the Grantsville City Cemetery.

  1. Aiden was my nephew, my family, and my best friend. I will always love and remember him. He lives on in my mind and in my heart.

  2. Aiden was my cousin. He was always one of my favorite babies to hold and always had the cutest smile and eyes.
I love him and miss him.

  3. In the time that I got to know Aiden, I was impressed by his work ethic and determination. He was a sweet hearted young man. He cared very much for those around him. His loss is something that is so terribly tragic. He had so much promise just to have it cut so short. I will cherish having the opportunity to be able to coach him in football. He will always be in my memories not only as the great young man that he was, but as a successful determined athlete who’s life that I was lucky enough to be part of. Rest in piece buddy.

  4. My son Rylan was friends with Aiden and has been heart broken since hearing news of his passing. Your family is in our prayers 💕

  5. I had the honor and privilege of having Aiden in one of my classes. He was always polite and hardworking. This breaks my heart and I’m equally thankfully for the gift and knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father who is certainly holding him in His arms right now. My love, prayers, and condolences to his family.

  6. Aiden was my best friend for as long as I can remember and up until we both moved neighborhoods. He was always very creative and we both spent upwards of weeks modifying sticks and toys into some of the coolest stuff. I truly never will forget those moments, and its devastating to hear no one else will get to experience his energy again.

  7. We have prayed for your dear family at this tender time. We are strengthened by your faith and testimony of the plan of happiness. You are loved and cared about by so many. May you completely heal and know Aiden is loved and cherished by so many here on earth and he will be so happy with the Savior and many loved ones and friends beyond the veil.
Love, Ron and Kristy Huber parents of Julie Frank

  8. Aiden was my cousin, a friend and light, he was someone I could always look up to even when he wasn’t around and I will continue this for him. He was taken far too soon, but I hope and believe he sees just how much we all care for him.
