She was the daughter of Walter Blair Mason and Dolores Wethington, being adopted as a newborn
by them. Her memory lives on through her brother, W. Brent Mason, and several cousins from both
sides of her family. She was the mother of three sons: Taylor, Luke, and Brayden, and her
daughter, Rylie. She loved her 2 grandchildren, McCoy and Harper, and always wished that they lived
closer to be able to spend more time with them. Tami was a woman of great faith, and although in her
later years, due to her health challenges, it was difficult for her to physically go to church, she
remained faithful and always encouraged others to look to the Savior and his Atonement for peace,
comfort, and forgiveness. She was known for always having a positive outlook despite going through
hardships in her life. Tami was an animal lover and advocate, and in her early years growing up
in California, she was very athletic, enjoying competing on the swim team and playing other
sports. She also loved horseback riding, water skiing, snow skiing, and dirt biking, and has traveled all
over the United States and the world.
For over 29 years, Tami dedicated her life to the Provo School District as an Instructional
Assistant, impacting the lives of countless students and colleagues and sharing a special bond with those
around her, always keeping in touch and nurturing her relationships with friends, family, and
co-workers. Tami was an amazing cook and loved having big feasts to celebrate every holiday.
Her incredible memory, infectious sense of humor, and remarkable talents made her a true friend to
many. From a young age, she always dreamed of being a mother and was able to do foster care
for several years. She ended up adopting her 4 children as a single mom.
