Gordon C. Roberts

Gordon C. Roberts, 94, passed away on Oct 11, 2024, at his home in Stansbury Park, Utah. He was born on Dec 9, 1929, in Pershing, Oklahoma to Cora Delcour and Harley Edgar Roberts. He married Tove Guglielmetti on Sept 24, 1954, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Nov 20, 1959. Together they had five children: Lila Duffin (Randy), Gail Westerlund (John), Jeff (Dixie), Lori Simonich (Jim), and Boyd (Melissa). They have 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 6 gg grandchildren.

He was a gifted athlete and played basketball and baseball on multiple teams, but his primary love was golf which began as a caddy at the Magna Copper Club at age 12. He was a scratch golfer and achieved three Holes-in-One during his golfing years, which ended at age 90.

He went about his life quietly serving others and generously giving of himself, his time, and helping others in need. He was a man of great integrity, quick wit, and harbored a great sense of humor which kept those around him laughing. He was truly loved by everyone who called him a friend.

Gordon and Tove served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Philippines, the Nauvoo Restoration, and Humanitarian Aid in Tooele, Utah.

It was a blessing and an amazing privilege to have Gordon as a husband, father, grandfather and friend.

A graveside service is being held for the family and close friends at the Stansbury Park Cemetery on Wednesday, October 16 at 1:00 PM. Military Honors will be handled by the US Army.
