1930 – 2024
Elnor Jean Nichols, age 93, passed away on 30 July 2024 at her family’s home in Stansbury Park, surrounded by 3 generations of family. Elnor was born on October 18th, 1930 in La Junta, Colorado to Melissa Ann Whilhite and Franklin Valentine Casebolt. She was born the last of 11 children.
Elnor was a beacon of independence and strength throughout her long life. She had an outsized love for family, teddy bears, and the odd game of bingo. Elnor was a loving housewife who spent many years volunteering at the Senior Center and local hospital, making many lasting friendships. She remained a constant presence in the lives of her loved ones and will be missed dearly.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Melissa and Franklin. Elnor was the last surviving of her 10 siblings.
Elnor is survived by her sons, Rollie Dale Rogers and William Rogers. She was cherished by 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held 1 PM August 10th, 2024 at Stansbury Park Cemetery. Family, Friends, and Ward members are welcome to attend the service. Interment will take place at the same location under the care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
