Connie Rae Bankhead passed away July 18, 2024, from breast cancer.
Born to David LaVar and Geniel Lund Bankhead August 19, 1951. She was the second of six children.
Connie was raised in Tooele and graduated from Tooele High School in 1969. Connie married Les Delamare and was later divorced. She married Bob Meyers and was later divorced.
Connie worked for many years in the travel and hospitality industry. Her career took her on a lifetime of adventures. She lived in St. Thomas US Virgin Islands for over 20 years where she made wonderful friends and memories.
She loved to sketch and paint with watercolors. She will be remembered for her wit, her strength of character and love for her family and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers David and Jim, and nephews Troy and Casey. Whom she dearly missed.
Connie is survived by her sisters Donna Dodds (John) Norman, OK and Karen Burns (Robert) Brigham City, UT, and brother Gerald Bankhead (Nancy) Joshua Tree, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie also leaves behind special friends Pamela Loring, and Barbara Atkin Lay and her beloved puppies, Myrna and Emy.
A special thanks to Janis Puff Cannon and Janis’ sons Scott and Bryce for welcoming her into their family. Janis will miss her special sister and the boys will miss their Aunt Connie.
