Sharon Reames

Sharon Louise McKee Reames passed from this life on January 26, 2024, with her son, Eric Johnson, at her side, in Grantsville, Utah. Sharon was born January 24, 1940, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Delbert Lee McKee and Mary Jane Beale. She was 84 years old.

          She met the love of her life, Bill (William) Junior Reames, when she was working at Little America as a waitress, and he was a truck driver. They were married October 7, 1988. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, on April 7, 1992. Their lives were full of joy and happiness. They had a dog named Pepper, who they loved like a child. When Bill passed away on October 7, 2015, their dog was buried with him.

          Sharon was a beautiful person who had love for everyone. She was an accomplished seamstress and made many quilts for her loved ones. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and wanted to live just like he did. She was a great example of strength and courage to us all as she battled the cancer that eventually took her life.

          She is survived by her children Danny (Marie) Johnson, Karrie Burke, Curtis Johnson and Eric (Amy) Johnson. Her granddaughter Jennifer Kimball, plus seven more grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She also had 5 step-children.

          Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Willow Creek Apartments Community Room (Room 2) located at 230 West Plum Street in Grantsville, UT. Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial in the Grantsville City Cemetery.  Funeral is under the direction of Dalton-Hoopes Mortuary.

          We would like to give a special thanks to Hospice, Merrilly Dombrowskie, and those who helped care for mom during her last days on earth. 

          Also, we would appreciate in leu flowers donations for funeral services would be greatly appreciated.
