“Angler Arnie”
January 30, 1956 – August 10, 2023
Arnold E walk our beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away quietly in his home on August 10, 2023.
Arnie was born on January 30, 1956, to Evelyn Alice Christensen and William Cris Walk in Tooele, Utah.
Arnie was an avid hunter and fisherman, an amazing fly tier and made incredible things carving wood. He loved being in the great outdoors. It is where he felt most at ease. Arnie had many adventures and found himself with many great jobs from crab fishing in Alaska to erecting high voltage transmission towers through out the forests. From installing chain link fences in Tooele to setting up big fancy banquets at the Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls. He loved going to the concerts at Cactus Pete’s and hitting the golf courses when he could.
He retired and moved back to Grantsville to be closer to his family. He had the biggest heart, and it was full of love for all his family. He loved all his grandchild dearly. He would joke and laugh with them for hours.
In addition to his daughter Angie Benavidez (Paul) and Shandie Staddard he is survived by his siblings Melody Rupp (Glad), Tracy Walk, Mitch Walk, Justin Benson (Marci), Karen Walter and 6 grandchildren Marcus, Jake, Tayler, Tashia, Tylee and Tristie. He is proceeded in death by his parents Bill and Leneta Walk, Evelyn Lope and 2 brothers Donald Morgan and Kevin Hackford.
Services will be held at the Granville Cemetery on August 21, 2023 at 10am followed by a luncheon at the Willow Creek Apts Community Room.

remember when Arnie was born, he was a very nice young man , I even cut his hair one time back about 1975. He will be greatly missed.. Love from his Aunt Virginia

Arnie was a member of the famous Grantsville family of friends during the 70s and 80s. So many stories could be told! My favorite times were with Jack and Arnie playing pinochle trying to make meld with the pros.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Always remember the Love and good memories you have of him. Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal but take comfort in the fact that HE LOVED YOU!!

I’m very sorry to hear Arnie is no longer with us. I spent the summer with him in Wyoming with aunt Clara many years ago. I believe he was 16 and me 14. He worked at the gas station and I worked at Faler’s grocery store. We helped Clara with the Cabins and renters. It was a great experience and a wonderful summer. He will be missed by all that knew him.
In the time I knew Arnie,I always knew him to have such a big heart and would do anything to help, especially if I ever needed him,Being by my side when ever I ended up in Salt Lake hospitals .One memory I have of him,he told me he was going to drive the four hours to my house and surprise me.Well one year on my birthday he did just that.I had the biggest smile on my face opening my door and having him standing there.He absolutely loved that, seeing the joy he brought me.
He was an incredible person.No one provided more love and support like my father,and no one encouraged me in the way he did.He was always there for me in my darkest moments and always helped me keep my chin up when times were tough.He was the best father a girl could ask for during the time I got to know him.
Dad,you are in my heart and I will always love and miss you.You brought so much joy to me and my girls,more than you’ll ever know.My dad meant so much to me and I am grateful for the time I had his presence in my life and my girls life.
Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but in thankfulness that he was.
