1979 – 2023
Our sweet daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother Sara Lynn Blauser Evans left this life too soon on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Sara was born on November 24, 1979 to Samuel and Mary Blauser in Tooele, Utah. She lived with her family in Stockton before moving to Tooele after 5th grade. She graduated from Tooele High School in 1998. She moved with her family to Vernon as an adult. After her marriage, she made her home in Eagle Mountain with her husband Courtney.
Growing up, Sara was always the sweet child, along for the ride on whatever adventure her siblings took her on. After high school, she spent many years working at South Area of the Tooele Army Depot and, later, for the Drivers License Division. She excelled at every job she ever did because she always gave her best work.
Sara didn’t have the opportunity to have her own children earlier in her life, but she poured her heart and soul into her nieces and nephews. She was affectionately called Auntie Spoiler and she definitely lived up to the name. A day with Aunt Sara usually meant at least one new outfit, whatever treats you wanted, lunch, whatever craft project she was currently working on, and all of the love and laughter a kid could handle. She spent countless hours at ball games, horse shows, stock shows, dance and cheer competitions, and any other thing her kids were involved in. Each of her nieces and nephews were her favorite, and they knew it! She was an amazing support to all of their parents as well. She was frequently found staying the night at one of her siblings’ houses because they were working or out of town and they needed someone to watch the kids. She loved every minute she spent with them.
Sara met the love of her life, Courtney Evans in 2010. Courtney came with 3 wonderful kids that Sara was proud to call her own. Sara was an amazing wife, Mother and Grandmother! She gave everything to her husband and children with all of the love that she had to offer. Courtney and Sara worked hard to make their family a strong one. One of Sara’s greatest joys in her life was her three grandkids. She loved spending quality time with them, and really cherished her Fridays off that she watched them all day.
Sara loved the mountain. She loved spending time on the weekends with her family and her extended mountain family at their property above Huntsville, UT. She loved showing everyone the deer and moose pictures from their trail cams. She really enjoyed hunting, camping, and taking out the side by side. She loved to go fishing, spending time on the boat, and anything else outdoors with Courtney.
Sara was always working on a project. She spent a lot of hours with power tools while working on some wood crafts, at her sewing desk making amazing quilts, pillowcases, baby blankets, teddy bears, etc., in various craft rooms across the state as she brought other people (usually her sisters) along for whatever her current new idea was. Many fond memories have been made and will be cherished by those you were fortunate to share that time with her.
Sara was the most generous person. She gave very freely of her means, time, and talents. She always shared the projects she completed with others. She was the first to volunteer her time to help. She was quick to lend a car, a laugh, or some good advice. She loved learning new things so she had new ways to bless her people. Sara’s generous spirit continued in her passing as she was able to donate several of her organs so that others might live. Her example of giving will be dearly missed by those of us left behind.
Sara is survived by her husband Courtney, Their three kids, Kelley, Morgan and Hunter (Sydney) Evans, Grandchildren, Lex and Salem Ramirez and Oakley Evans, Parents, Sam and Mary Blauser, Mother-in-law Wallen Evans, Siblings Brian (Amy) Blauser, Kristee (Jason) Castagno, Jennifer (Charles) Lawless, Scott (Lindsay) Blauser, Tracy (Jackie) Evans, Troy (Debbie) Evans, Misty Evans Silva, Coty (Lisa) Evans, Alisha Evans, and Shon (Thelma) Evans, many nieces and nephews, Her Grandma Ardis Christensen, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Grandpa Norman Christensen, Grandparents Ruth and Larry Christensen, Father-in-law Francis D Evans, and sister-in-law Cindy K Evans.
Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, June 13th at 11 AM at the Vernon Ward Chapel. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 AM prior to service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in the care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home. 435-884-3031.

Oh my dear Sara, why is a question not to be answered in this life. I will forever be grateful for the honor of having you in my life as both a friend and a coworker. You set the bar so high when it comes to compassion and giving. I have enjoyed every moment I had to talk laugh and cry with you. I only wish we had more time. I know this is only goodbye for now. Dear Blauser family,
There’s nothing more I can really say about Sara that has not already been said. But I will say this. Sara was one of those rare people who was actually an angel 😇 on earth. She in my mind is/was the most Christ like person I have ever met. May the family have peace and may Sara rest in peace.
