1929 – 2023
Mazel Warr Elsholz returned to her Father in Heaven January 25, 2023. She was one of seven children born to Arther and Elsie Warr on December 29, 1929 in Erda, UT. As a child she loved helping her dad out on the farm. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints at eight years old. Mazel was baptized in a pond in Erda surrounded by family and friends.
Mazel had many jobs in her early years working in cafe’s. She enjoyed meeting new people touching everyone she met from Salt Lake to Wendover.
She married her sweetheart George Elsholz and from that time on she spent her days surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was having children around her. She loved to cook and feed everyone. She planted gardens and loved having fresh vegetables.
Mazel also loved to shopping and getting new dresses and shoes. She always wanted to look her best and even had her daughter Korinne do her hair weekly.
Old westerns and cowboy shows were her favorite to watch on television. She listened to country music and the last song she heard was “I’ll Leave this World Loving you” by Ricky Van Shelton.
After the passing of her husband George, she spent her days watching her great granddaughters. Paige and Laurien who loved her with all their hearts.
Mazel was preceded in death by her husband Geroge Elsholz, her father Arthur Warr and mother Elsie Jo Hale, brothers Clayton, Boyd and Ronald “Ron” Warr and sister Eugenia “Jeanie” Fultz, her granddaughter Krystal McGuiness (Elsholz) and great-great-granddaughter Michelle McNicol.
Mazel is survived by one brother Merlin (Lillis) Warr, her daughter Korinne McGuniess, her son Troy (Laura) Elsholz, grandchildren Trudy (Ken) Jones, Brett McGuniess, Becky (Justin) Fields, Lisa Boyer, Marcee (John) Salas, Tyler (Sydney) Elsholz, Megan (Justin) Richardson, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 31st at 11:00 am at the Grantsville West Stake Center on 115 Cherry St. Interment will be at the Grantsville City Cemetery following the funeral at 12:30 PM
