Michael Benton Porter, beloved son, father, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah due to heart complications.
Born May 20, 1977, in Salt Lake City, UT to Russell Leon Porter and Lorna Millard Porter. Michael was the 4th out of the 5 children.
Mike grew up in Holladay, UT and was always the life of the party. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. He would drop everything to help another person in need and was a great example of service. He was someone you could rely on to help and fix anything. He made friends wherever he went and could always make you laugh. He was thoughtful, loving, and kind. His greatest joy were his daughters and his grandkids.
We will miss Mike so much but feel that he is truly happy in heaven with his Dad and those who went before him.
We can honor Michael’s legacy by dedicating our lives to loving and serving others, not taking life too seriously, and cheering for the Boston Red Sox!
Michael is survived by his children: Kylee Porter (Dakota), Sandy, UT, Rylee Porter, Prestonsburg, Kentucky, grandkids: Kashe, Ana’Lee, and Tate Porter, mother, Lorna Porter, Holladay, UT, siblings: Susie Lantz, Holladay, UT, Russell Porter, Holladay, UT, Ann (Larry) Dixon, LongView, TX, Jonathan (Ashley) Porter, Bluffdale, UT, Girlfriend Kelly Young, Holladay, UT.
