September 5, 1995 – December 10, 2020
Alek William Robison, age 25, passed away on December 10, 2020 in Salt Lake City. He was born on September 5, 1995 in Murray Utah, to Cindy Boer Smith and Darrell Robison. He was married to Camilla Lyne Payne Robison.
Alek loved music, playing the tuba in the marching band, his wife and family. He was in the Army National Guard from June 2013 to 2020. He was loved by everyone that he came in contact with. His spirit and optimistic attitude was like a happy puppy, someone who deeply loved all of his humans. He knew how to take care of everyone and made it his goal in life to make people laugh, especially if it was a dry bad joke. He was in search of a career where he could help others move through their emotional journeys, whether that be through teaching, piano, or literature. Piano was the outlet he used to express his feelings, and he loved to share his spirit through music. He was a wonderful caretaker for the many people that came into his life, whether that be his nieces, nephews, siblings, or the daycare children that came into his home. He loved literature and deep frustrating conversations about philosophy and especially religion. He has left a footprint that will never be forgotten. He always hoped he could be like Uncle Iroh, the fictional spiritual leader, but he was one from birth. Whenever someone asked how he was doing he would respond “Same shoes, different socks.”
Survived by: his wife Camilla, his mom and stepdad Cindy and Ryan Smith, his dad and stepmom, Darrell and Lynne Robison, his 7 brothers (Jacob, Colin, Kasey, Tayte, Axel, Diesle and Zach and 3 sisters Sandra, Zee and Jessica. Grandparents: Jan Boer, Acea and Clara Robison.
Preceded in Death by his grandpa William C. Boer who he was named after and loved deeply.
