Edith Marie Florence Wilkinson

Edith Marie Florence Wilkinson, age 87, passed away on November 21, 2020 in West Valley City.

She was born on January 5, 1933 in East Millcreek, Utah to Wilmer Henry Florence and Mabel May Florence. She attended Granite High School. She later met Robert T Wilkinson and they were married May 7, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.

The things that brought her joy in life were her family, reading her scriptures and praying daily for those in need. She loved teaching 11 year old scouts, and also enjoyed cake decorating. She loved canning, calling or sending out birthday cards, cooking and watching Utah Jazz, Hallmark shows and football with Dad. She enjoyed having club with her sisters and doing yard work. She lived such a wonderful life and was a great example of love and service. She always had a kind word with a smile and made everyone feel loved and important.

Edith is survived by her husband Robert Wilkinson, her children; Brent (Carmelita) Wilkinson, Barbara (John) Emmerich, Cheryl (Rick) Madsen, Deane (Ron) Jensen, Gene (Teri) Wilkinson, Gregory (Tracey) Wilkinson, Shane (Diane) Wilkinson. She leaves behind 30 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A walkthrough viewing will be held on November 27th 2020 from 11:00am to noon located at the LDS Ward House at 3737 S 5600 W in West Valley City, Utah. A funeral service will follow at the same location at noon, but attendance in the chapel is limited to Edith’s children and spouses.
