Traci Danell Martin

On Monday, July 5, 2021, Traci Martin, age 56, returned home to be with her daughter, Paradise, and many other departed family members and friends.

Traci was born September 7, 1964, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rosalee Davison-Allison and Robert Bruce. Traci was the oldest sibling of brothers: Cory, Justin, Cortlynn and Troy; and sisters: Mereth, Kimberly and Delightra. As a child, Traci loved spending time with her extended family, barbequing, skating, and dancing.

Traci was blessed with three beautiful daughters: Nicole, Maryann, and Paradise. She later married Rudolph Martin, where they spent many wonderful years together raising their family. Later in life, Traci moved to Tyler, Texas, where several family members and friends eventually followed her lead in relocating.

When Traci’s daughter, Paradise, became ill, Traci moved back to Utah with Paradise so she could receive better medical care and have a stronger family support system in place. Due to Paradise’s health ailments, Traci completely changed her lifestyle and responsibilities, to care for her daughter.

Traci loved being around her large, extended family. She wanted nothing more than to arrange a big group of family and friends together to eat, play games, and laugh. She loved Mountain Dew soda, soups, and many types of candy. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved, yet very compassionate to those she did not know. Traci adored all eight of her grandkids, but two of them especially had her heart. DJ and Josiah went to live with Traci when her daughter, Paradise, passed away. They looked to Traci as their new mom.

Traci is survived by her mom, Rosalee; her uncle George; her brothers, Corey, Justin, Cortlynn; her sisters, Kimberly and Delightra; her daughters, Maryann (Don), Nicole; and countless other cousins, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paradise; sister, Mereth; grandson, Shahi, and many others.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 15, 2021, at 3:30pm (viewing) and 5:00pm (funeral). Funeral is located at City View Mortuary, 1001 E 11th Ave, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. Directly after the funeral, a dinner will be served at another location in Magna. More information will be announced at the services.

Traci will be laid to rest at the Cliffview Cemetery in Price, Utah on Friday July 16, 2021. Close family and friends will be in attendance.

Traci loved this quote: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle – Plato.

I met Tracy one time, and that was at Don and Mary’s new house. I thought she was so sweet and so happy. She said she didn’t feel good that day, but she was so sweet and nice! Such an amazing lady. I wish I could have known her better. God Bless her and her family always!
