Susan (Sue) LaNae Smith passed away November 14, 2021, after a long and grueling battle with cancer. She was born December 11, 1957, in Murray, Utah, and then adopted by her loving parents, Jack and Lorna Smith, of Grantsville, Utah.
Sue graduated from Grantsville High School. She married Michael Waltke, and together they had four children during their sixteen-year marriage. Sue was thrilled to have her babies and had a special love for all babies throughout her life.
Sue loved music, both to listen to and to sing karaoke, and enjoyed dancing. She was an avid collector of things beautiful to her. Sue also cherished time with her family and could be counted on to have the pictures to prove it. The world will miss her beautiful blue eyes.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her four children: Angie Pawlik, Amber Waltke, Dustin Waltke, and Lacey Waltke. She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren: Tevyn Pawlik, Paige Pawlik, Carson Beckstead, Gage Carrillo, Corbyn Beckstead, Chase Carrillo, Isaac Cabrera, and Miguel Cabrera.
Sue’s family welcomes mourners to a graveside service to be held November 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Grantsville City Cemetery. A private celebration of life will follow, for her immediate family.
