Michael Lynn Collins, born September 6, 1948 in Hicksville Ohio passed peacefully
in his sleep on January 29, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mike is survived by
his beloved wife Diane Hall Collins, their five children Paul (Susan), Christina (Mike),
John (Bobbie, Bree), Andrea (Mike), Jared (Mary). Together they have 18 grandchildren
and 4 great grandchildren. Along with the love of his Utah family, he has a sister
Diana Egly (Dale) and several nieces and nephews residing in Ohio that he loved
to watch grow up. Mike and Diane were sealed in the St. George Temple. He had a
strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as
a member of the bishopric.
Growing up, he loved to play sports and on any given day, you could always
catch him watching a ball game. He was an avid Ohio States Buckeye fan.

Preceded in his death were his parents Paul and Inez Traxler, his brother Bob Collins,
a sister Debbie Collins and a granddaughter Charity Collins.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11 AM in the
Deseret Peak Ward, 550 E. Durfee St. Viewing will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM
prior to services.
Interment will take place at the Hurricane Utah Cemetery on
Monday, February 3, 2025 at 12:00 Noon with Military Honors by the US Air Force.

I got to know Mr. Collin’s through growing up around a few of his children whom are great people. May the family find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
