Kenneth Dean Hardman

March 24, 1952 – March 30, 2025

I passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, returning to my heavenly Father on March 30, 2025. A proud member of the LDS Church, I lived a life full of faith and devotion. Born in Salt Lake City, much of my childhood was spent in Roosevelt, Utah and my teens in Kearns, Utah. I was the oldest of seven siblings, four brothers—Rex (Jeannetta), Mont (Tracy), Dave (Ann), and Jon (Connie)—and two sisters, Sherry (Gail) Layland and Lori (Jay) DeForest.

On September 19, 1975, I married the love of my life, Yonnie, in Seoul, Korea, while serving in the US Army. Together, we built a loving family, and I took great pride in being a father to my daughter, Cristy Mower, and son, Clay Hardman. I loved and adored my two wonderful grandchildren, Alex and Koby Mower, and I am very proud of the young men they are becoming.

Professionally, I was an accomplished engineer, enjoying a fulfilling 30-year career with the Williams Corporation. However, my true passion lay in the great outdoors. I was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted bird dog trainer, especially my beloved Drahthaars, earning recognition as a sought-after dog trainer. I was honored to serve as a Field Judge with the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA), where I shared my love for hunting and training with others.

I am survived by my beloved wife, Yonnie, and my loving children and grandchildren, as well as my siblings and their partners, who all held a special place in my heart. I eagerly anticipated reuniting with my father, Kenneth Neal Hardman, and mother, Molly Dean Price, who I missed dearly. I also looked forward to seeing my eldest brother, Rex Hardman, who preceded me in death last year, and reuniting with my niece, Wendy Hardman.

Kenneth Dean Hardman leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11 AM in the Shelley Lane Chapel, 410 Shelley Lane, Grantsville, Utah 84029. Friends and family may visit from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Pleasant Green Cemetery, Magna, Utah.
