Gary Lee Stam

Gary Lee Stam (Gumby) passed away at his home peacefully surrounded

by those who love him on January 30,2025 at the age of 59 due to complications

from diabetes.

Gary is advised by his wife Trina Henry Stam, sister Wendy Stam Saunders,

daughter Chelsey Poulsen, step children Kevin Degelbeck, Kimberly Swensen,

and Mary Lang, nieces Tara ,Tory, Nickie, Lacey ,Jasmine, Jennifer, Amanda,

Kristina ,Mayla ,and his cat Mugsy whom he rescued from the chimney.

Gary is preceded in death by his daughter Vanessa Stan, Brothers Steve and Randy,

and his parents Tom and Marjorie Stam.

Gary was born in Alameda California on August 20th 1965. His parents later

moved their family to Grantsville Utah in 1972. Very graduated from Grantsville High

in 1983 and also attended salt lake community college. Gary was passionate about

fast cars specifically his ‘Roadrunner. He LOVED flying his RC planes with his

brother Steve and also loved to fish. As we all know Gary lived life to the fullest

and in the fast lane! He loved his rock and roll mainly Kiss, Slayer, and Pink Floyd .

Gary always said” if it’s too loud, you’re too old !”and were words he lived by.

Will always remember Gary as a die-hard raiders fan and for his beautiful long

blonde hair and his prankster attitude. If you didn’t defend you his making you

laugh until your stomach hurt. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

To Honor Gary we will be Celebrating his Life on Thursday, February 6th at

12 Noon at the Grantsville 3rd Ward on South Hale Street.

    I’ve known Gary for many years. We flew model airplanes together. He was a good friend. I will miss him a lot. God Bless
